Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the most important questions about psychotherapy
General Information
How does an initial consultation work?
The initial consultation lasts about 50 minutes. We get to know each other, you describe your concerns and I explain my approach. Together we decide if working together makes sense. The initial consultation is non-binding.
How long does therapy last?
The duration depends on your concerns and goals. Short-term therapy can include 10-25 sessions, longer therapy accordingly more. We regularly reflect on progress together.
How often do sessions take place?
Usually we meet weekly or every two weeks. The frequency is adapted individually to your needs and the course of therapy.
What is systemic psychotherapy?
Systemic therapy views people in the context of their relationships and social environment. Problems are not viewed in isolation but understood as part of a larger system. The focus is on resources and solutions.
