Systemic Therapy

Discovering new perspectives

Systemic therapy is a recognized psychotherapy approach that always views people in the context of their relationships and environment. Instead of focusing only on problems, we search together for resources and solutions.

Core Principles of Systemic Therapy

We are all part of different systems: family, partnership, work, circle of friends. These systems influence us and are influenced by us. Systemic therapy uses this insight for therapeutic work.

An important principle is resource orientation: You already bring many abilities and strengths. In therapy, I help you recognize and use them.

Typical Methods

Circular questions open up new perspectives by exploring how others might see the situation. Reframing helps see problems in a new light. Genogram work makes family patterns visible.

Sometimes I also invite important people in your life to individual sessions if you wish. But individual therapy is also possible – we then work with the inner images of your relationships.

Benefits

  • Understanding connections in your life
  • Discovery of hidden resources and strengths
  • New possibilities for action in seemingly stuck situations
  • Improvement of important relationships
  • Solution-oriented approach instead of pure problem analysis

Who is systemic therapy suitable for?

  • With relationship problems of any kind
  • With recurring patterns you want to change
  • For clarifying important life decisions
  • With burnout and exhaustion
  • With anxiety, depression and other psychological burdens

How does systemic therapy work?

  1. 1 Initial consultation: Clarifying your concerns and getting to know each other
  2. 2 Contract clarification: What exactly do you want to achieve?
  3. 3 Therapy sessions: Regular appointments (usually weekly or bi-weekly)
  4. 4 Reflection: Regular review of whether we are on the right track
  5. 5 Conclusion: When you have achieved your goals
